This is a remote contract position for approximately 10-12 hours per week.  The contract will run through the end of the year with the possibility of extension.


The Content Entry Specialist is a member of the content marketing team with experience managing content within a CMS and social media management systems. The Content Entry Specialist is a fast learner, understanding the nuances of various CMS like Sitecore and DrupalThey have strong writing and editing skills and are a positive influence on projects including content migrations, content development, and other entry needs. The Content Entry Specialist abides by documentation and is detail-oriented. 


  • Enter web content, both copy and other media, according to various content templates and assisting documentation 
  • Enter social media content according to content templates and assisting documentation 
  • Responsible for final publishing of sites with time-sensitive information 
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand requirements, communicate designs, and implement specifications 
  • Create and edit documentation around processes including publishing, content entry, and content management 
  • Identify risks early and mitigate or escalate that as appropriate 
  • Work in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, meeting delivery milestones and quality expectations 
  • Communicate complex technical solutions to the client as needed 
  • Assist business development by evaluating proposals, completing technical due diligence, and providing timely estimates 
  • Cultivates a collaborative environment by networking with Content Strategists, Copywriters, and Project Managers, promotes and demonstrates knowledge sharing throughout Velir 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of Sitecore and/or Drupal CMS 
  • Demonstrates knowledge and deep interest for content governance and pipelines
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Demonstrates an understanding of social media management systems like Hootsuite and Sprout Social 
  • Ability to maintain and foster a high level communication and collaboration, aptitude for building consensus and compromise with your approach, and enthusiasm for introducing new concepts and processes 
  • Ability to identify roadblocks, raise these risks, and provide leadership towards resolutions 
  • Ability to adhere to project budgets and estimates 
  • Ability to learn and master new CMS versions; technologies used at Velir include: 
    • Drupal  
      • Cohesion 
      • Site Factory 
      • Drupal 9 
    • Sitecore 
      • Experience Editor 

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field 
  • 1-3 years of content marketing experience  
  • 1+ year of experience working with Sitecore or Drupal preferred

  • Frequent sitting at a desk performing work on a computer
