This is a ~5 month contract position for approximately 25-40 hours per week.


We’re looking for a strategic thinker who understands psychology, visual design, business and technology to provide direction to our experience design teams.  A Senior Digital Marketing Strategist works with a multi-disciplinary team of creative and technology specialists, establishing the frameworks and vision that will guide the outcome for new digital experiences. They must be experienced in conducting qualitative research and interpreting quantitative research to produce key user insights to inform strategy.  As the architect of the early project vision, it is critical that the Senior Strategist make clients feel both comfortable and engaged in the entire design process. This position works closely with Designers and Technologists to inject strategic considerations into each step of a client initiative. Senior Strategists must be able to adapt to fast-changing situations, adept at answering tough questions from clients, and diplomatic in their assessment of the clients’ needs.  This individual will work closely with Experience Designers, Business Systems Analysts, Analytics Specialists and Account Directors.


  • Strategy Definition
    • Develop innovative multi-channel strategies that sets vision and direction. Using inputs from SEO, analytics, primary, and secondary research, recommend how the client should use their tools to deliver their objectives and then define the way in which communication channels should change because of new strategies.
  • Stakeholder Alignment
    • Unpack the various goals and desires that exist amongst client stakeholders and define a common and agreed upon set of goals the organization wants to achieve
    • Plan, manage, and conduct definition and alignment workshops
  • Workshop Facilitation
    • Design and facilitate internal ideation sessions as well as key client working sessions
  • Audience Definition
    • Conduct qualitative research throughout the design process, working cross functionally with the UX and Visual Design teams to employ conventional and non-conventional research methodologies
    • Partner closely with Analytics to draw insights from quantitative analysis and utilize data to help inform strategic pivots and audience goals
    • Bring to life the needs, behaviors and motivations of the target audience
  • Landscape Analysis
    • Understand how others in and out of the client’s industry and beyond are using digital tools to drive their experiences
  • Concept Development
    • Partner with designers, technologists and client subject matter experts to shape solution ideas and recommendations
    • Conceptualize compelling and meaningful opportunities for clients centered around their audience needs
  • Planning & Road-mapping
    • Think broadly about the digital ecosystem, identifying digital initiatives available. Work With the client to sequence solutions based on impact and level of effort
  • Success Measures
    • Working with the client to identify and align on key success measures for the strategy and tactical engagements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing or Communications
  • 6+ years’ experience in related role such as strategy consulting, experience strategy, experience design, product strategy, design research
  • Strong interest in technology or digital marketing
  • Depth of experience with primary research methods including in-person interviews as well as co-design session and workshops
  • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
  • Ability to determine appropriate approach based on client budget and timeline
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large groups and executive client stakeholders
  • Bias towards action - able to take ambiguous ask and turn them into concrete deliverables
  • Prior agency or consulting experience is a plus
  • Experience with Healthcare, Non-Profits, Higher Education, & Professional organizations is a plus
